Nicole Wittenberg

Nicole Wittenberg è nata nel 1979 ed è un'artista americana con base a New York. È curatrice, docente, scrittrice e pittrice.


Wittenberg ritrae paesaggi naturali che rispecchiano il suo stato emotivo e i suoi sentimenti in un preciso momento.


Strizzando l'occhio al movimento impressionista, l'artista americana trasforma scenari ordinari in terre psicologiche ed emotive, manifestando un profondo fascino per la natura e i suoi cambiamenti fugaci.


Wittenberg è nata a San Francisco, in California, e ha conseguito il BFA presso il San Francisco Art Institute nel 2003. Nel 2012 ha ricevuto l'ambito premio John Koch dell'American Academy of Arts and Letters come miglior giovane pittore figurativo. Dal 2011 al 2014 ha insegnato alla New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture e alla Bruce High Quality Foundation University e nel 2017 è stata docente del dipartimento di teoria critica alla School of Visual Arts di New York.
